The Thang:

The meteorologists had predicted low cloud, cold temperatures and plenty of rain, aka a fine day in the London. What better day for YHC to take the helm and lead through the homesickness inducing conditions? What do most tourists when visiting London? Why, climb all 528 stairs of St Paul’s Cathedral of course! A quick mosey to the Mustang AO revealed the 40 steps to heaven.

4 x 40 stair sprints
4 x 40 miss double stair sprints
4 x 40 bunny hops
1 x 40 triple stair sprint

The above got us up, and down, St Paul’s with enough time for a pacey fellowship run over the mountain, through the elder village and back to the Big House. Discussion of history and politics saw us through an approx. 4.5 mile route.

BOM:

A lot of the stories during the run reminded YHC of something the host of Netflix’s Meateater often says, it’s only when something is really arduous and takes you way out of your comfort zone that you look back with humor and a feeling of fulfillment. A lot of good comes from just saying ‘yes’ to opportunities, you may think they suck at the time but you will look back and think they were the best days.

Also, apparently the fat from behind a reindeer’s eyeball tastes like pizza dough……..AYE!
