Today is my MUCH better half’s 43rd birthday, so we did things in batches of 43. Nothing warms a lady’s heart like having a bunch of sweaty middle-aged strangers do burpees in a parking lot in her honor.

Castaway and YHC got in a leisurely EC ruck while Loonie did EC kettlebells.

• Continued prayers for Count Chocula’s dad, who suffered a major health crisis last week but appears to be well on his way to recovery.
• YHC took us out with prayers of thanksgiving for the women in our lives and with a Hail Mary.

Today was a grinder, but all PAX pushed hard and got through it together. 43 is a lot of reps! Grateful for my M, who really is a fantastic wife and mother in every respect and, mercifully, puts up with my bullshit for the most part. She got doughnuts and the above-described sweaty-stranger tribute for her trouble. Aye!
