To honor the 1,084 Churham PAX (and counting) listed on Slack, we busted out 1,084 reps at The Piranha today. YHC knows that 1,000ish reps is pushing what’s possible in 45 minutes, after he led a Devil’s Ridge workout back in 2019 honoring Coach K’s career wins at the time of 1,059. (Very out of character for this Tar Heel fan, but it was a good one, and we did get all the reps in but barely.) So tried to stick to simple movements that could be banged out efficiently. Was also keen to steer clear of merkins after yesterday’s merkin fest at DR.

*YHC had promised we were done with burpees after the 10 in the warmup, but we had a little time to play with toward the end, so had Cardiac just count us 40 squats and replaced those with 10 burpees.

Bellhop announced the transfer of power beatdown this Thursday at Tobacco Road. He and Scapula will co-Q in honor of their taking the reins as site Qs from TR stalwarts Floyd and Cardiac. A big day in SoDu. Kia noted the gathering at TBL on Saturday to officially mark the transfer of Nantan duties to Teo from Aldophus and Riggs after 10 years of faithful service. Bellhop echoed Adolphus’ recent calls to make sure we are EHing not only potential FNGs but also F3 guys who have fallen out of the fold for one reason or another. YHC took us out.

Great to have Schroeder with us from Carpex, and he was duly impressed with how the region has flourished over the years. Continued strong numbers at The Piranha, which always makes WeedNFeed and YHC happy. Everyone pushed through today with determination and good cheer. Can’t ask for more. Aye!
