Circle of Pain

7 PAX for an EC run. We pushed the distance a little which means we had to push the pace. Was hard enough to get up early for EC on a Monday morning. It was even harder to try to run fast. Came in to the Eagle with only a few minutes to spare and joined the other PAX for a total of 11 for the main event. The idea was to create a circle that we do over and over with different exercises each time and YHC envisioned a “circle of pain”. In the end, pain was achieved but more by the fact that I left my gloves in the car and the pavement hurt like hell.
Warmup: SSH, Windmill, Imperial Walker, Prisoner Squats, merkins, slow merkins.
The Thang:
Mosey to the other side of the school. Lineup and bear crawl half of the circle, do 20 merkins and bear crawl back. Run one lap. Next loop is lunge walks and 15 burpees followed by one more lap. Next loop is travelling burpees with 15 WWII”s in the middle followed by a lap. Next loop is gorilla hops with 20 squats or jump squats followed by a lap. Gorilla hops are terrible by the way.
Next, line up on the first parking space. Walking merkins with 5 merkins at each parking spot. Approximately 10 lines. On the return, lunge walk each parking spot with 3 burpees on each line.
Mosey to the playground for 2 sets of 10 pull-ups each (20 total)
Mosey to the track for 4 laps.
