PAX: Cosmo, Polino, Castaway, Floyd, Houdini, Boucher, Sprocket, Laplane, Brotox, Swamp, Mr. Tumnus (FNG)

Warm Up:

31x SSH

10 x goodmornings

Low granny Squat x 5

200m jog to loosen up

5x SLOW merkins

4 Pax joined up for some EC speed work on the big field. Then an FNG showed up either alittle late for EC or alot early for ME. Either way he fearlessly jumped into the speedwork to gets his money’s worth out of his first post.

The ME started with a double shot of “Bring Sally Up” one time for the arms (merkins) and one time for the legs (squats). All Pax headed to the rock pile to find a good medium sized rock. Then mosey to the open parking spots with curbstops. Today in history the Hindenburge exploded when it struck its parking tower. To commemorate the end of the zeppelin age we did 2 rounds of BLIMPS.

B – Bicep curls with the rock ~ 30 reps

L – Line jumps ~ 40sec

I – Incline Merkins ~ 18 reps

M – Mountain climbers ~ 30 sec

P – Push press with the rock ~ 20 reps

S – Single leg curb step overs ~ 45 sec

After the BLIMPS we went to the wall to get one more round of “Bring Sally Up” this time we did it with wall kicks high and low. The PAX were then asked to return their rocks to the rock pile as fast as possible. Since we still had extra time so we completed a rapid fire tuck jump pyramid.

Mary- LBC x 25 followed by a V-hold, Flutter kicks x 33 followed by a V-hold, Freddie Mercury x 27 followed by V-hold. This was followed by an active bird dog hold. We still had 2 minutes left so we did a rapid fire squat jump pyramid from 5-10.

FNG naming: The FNG is a mechanical engineer in the power industry from hickory who showed up for EC on his first post. Name options that emerged were: coal ash, early bird special and Mr Tumnus. Floyd and Cosmo made the jump from hickory NC furniture land, to wardrobe, to Narnia, to Mr Tumnus.

COT:  Prayers for Cosmo and Floyd’s fathers as they work though their medical issues. A friend of Sprocket was bitten by a copper head and is having a very difficult recovery.
