The M and YHC have taken to knocking out a round of B.O.M.B.S. on Saturdays at her folks’ lake house, by way of sweating out the previous night’s festivities. Standard is, as a partner set, 50 burpees, 100 OH Clap IC, 150 Merkin, 200 Big-Boy sit-ups, 250 squats. Been tinkering with the format and decided to bust out a new and improved version for the PAX of Tobacco Road that was dubbed B.O.M.B.S. from Hell. (Have not done this version with the M lest I find myself in need of a divorce lawyer.)
Houdini, Castaway, Count Chocula and YHC got in a little EC ruck and Cardiac showed up early to do whatever it is he does.

THE THANG
PAX advised to take a lap around field at pace of their own choosing and line up in order of finish. First partnered with the last (leading to a dream team of Uzi and WeedNFeed), second paired with the penultimate finisher and so on. YHC got lucky that Cardiac has been nursing a calf injury so finished fourth, which landed him as my partner.
Then we got down to it. Travel was run to half field and back while partner worked on the following:
- 50 bodybuilder 8 count
- 100 outlaws SC, alternating direction
- 150 Makhtar N’Diayes IC
- 200 burpees
- 250 shoulder taps – started out IC but modified to SC in interest of time
Think the burpees caught up with most of us. After picking up the six to help finish out a few pairs’ last reps, we had just a couple of minutes for
