10 PAX made the right choice this morning by braving the gloom to start the day. While putting together the pre-blast, 16 Seed and I were talking about an upcoming vacation that we’re going on with our Ms. We had discovered the beach there is a “toptional”. Being the supportive husbands we are, he suggested that we work on our upper bodies this morning, especially our pecs. YHC was happy to oblige, and put together a workout that was a surprising cardio workout as well.
Warm Up
SSH x 24
Good Mornings x 12
WMH x 12
Porta-John Chinooks x 12
Reverse Porta-John Chinooks x 12
Mosey around the Parkwood Elementary Estate
The Thang
Bring Sally Up – Pax went as long as they could, then lined up in order of elimination. T-Claps to Weed N’ Feed and Little Mac for being the last two to finish! The PAX counted off, and were told to remember their number for later in the workout.
We then did a gross of Merkins at 12 reps each. alternating between lunge walk and duck walk. The Merkin order was:
Rangers
Crucibles (Standard merkin, hands turned, fingers pointing towards feet)
Mountain Climbers (One CC MC on the up)
Derkin
Diamond
RH Offset
LH Offset
Carolina Dry Dock
Wide Grip
Erkin
Hand Release
Standard
For the second half of the workout, the PAX, remembering their number, partnered with the person that had the corresponding number that added to 11. The partners then took on a Dora 1-2-3, to the wonderful tunes of hair metal. While one of the partners ran around the southwestern most loop in Dora fashion, the other partner contributed to the following goals:
Chilcutt Plankjack x 100
LBCs x 200
Air Dramas x 300 (Air Squat with a Johnny Drama at the end)
Mary
With time nearly up, we had to cut Mary short. The best I could come up with was two half Steinls.
Right Leg 1/2 Steinl (30 count High Plank, 30 count Chilcutt Plank, 5 Merkins, 5 Right Leg Peter Mountain Parkers, 5 Merkins)
Left Leg 1/2 Steinl (Same as above, but left leg)
COT
The Bull is coming up on 10/26.
No Prayer Requests
Stumpjumper (from Davidson) took us out.
NMS
I’ve only been to The Piranha a couple times, so I ran my pre-blast by OPEC. I don’t ask for a pre-blast review often, but it was helpful. If you have questions about the site, the PAX, or other concerns about a workout you have in your head, please ask. It’ll make your leadership stronger, and will have a positive impact on the PAX.
Thank you for the opportunity to lead gents. SYITG!
