Have you ever considered how many times to word halt is spoken during a typical beatdown? Perhaps if there was a burpee for every time we’d have an answer. That’s what we did today. I can tell you neither how many time halt was spoken, nor how many burpees were done.

Main Event

Split into 4 groups. One timer while the others did AMRAPs. 13 reps each. We got some burpees in hanks to some PAX counting cadence during the AMRAP. Some PAX even started saying halt just for the fun of it!
1. Bataan Death Crawl was the timer. A combination of Catch Me If You Can and a traditional Bear Crawl. The last person drops and does 5 Burpees, while the rest of the Pax Bear Crawl in a line. After completing the Burpees, the last guy runs to catch the group, tapping the (new) last Pax on the shoulder, who then stops to begin his 5 Burpees, while the (former) last guy continues on to the front of the line. Out until each got burpees, then mosey’d back.
2. Diamond Merkins, Dry Docks, Mike Tyson, repeat
3. Penguins, V-ups, Superman Rows, repeat
4. Squat Jumps, Lunges, Single Leg Deadlifts, repeat
Repeat, but this time we crawl both ways.

Not all PAX got into the Word of the Day by calling Halt, so it was time to invigorate leadership by doing a ring of fire. Each PAX called halt.

10 Control Freak Burpos. Burpos are low Burpees; start and finish is a low squat hold. Control Freak means you move to the called position. If you get ahead of the Q, he’ll wait for you to return to the correct position.

Repeat the halt Ring of Fire.
