Welcome Back, Cosmo

February 25, 2020

WHEN: 02/25/2020
QIC: Cosmo
PAX: Wreck It Ralph, WeedNFeed, Bellhop, Pallino, Cardiac, Awesome Baby, Kia

Prepping for, tapering for and recovering from the Bragg Heavy kept YHC away from his beloved home AO for a month. It was sad! So was super stoked to get back and lead The Friendliest AO in Churham.™

Was extra bummed to miss Wreck It Ralph’s VQ last week, a clever affair that added kind of a Newlywed Game flair to partner work. Stuck with the partner theme today, though the only thing we learned about each other was level of affinity/aptitude for bear crawls, burpees, merkins, etc. Still, a good time was had by all, and everyone crushed.

Standard warm-up. (Was so happy to see Kia roll up a little late to give us an even number that no penalty burpees were assessed.)

THANG
Moseyed to front of the school. Filbert lap AFAP, line up in order of finish. First paired up with last, second paired up with next to last and so on. Partners were: WeedNFeed and Kia, Cardiac and Pallino, Awesome Baby and Wreck It, YHC and Bellhop. Moseyed to blacktop.

Bear Crawl 1, 2, 3
As a pair, perform 100 Merkins, 200 LBCs IC, and 300 Jump Squats. While Partner 1 did the 1-2-3, Partner 2 Bear Crawled to half court, and Crawl Beared back, then flip flopped until all Merkins, LBCs, and Squats were complete.
Stated at the outset that it paid to be a winner, but as no one claimed victory, we all did 15 burpees.

Doracides
Perform 50 burpees, 100 dry docks, 150 WWIIs as a team. Partner 1 exercised while Partner 2 ran suicides (just half court and back and full court and back for time)
Winner – 5 burpees
2nd place – 10 burpees
Third place – 15 burpees
Fourth place – 20 burpees

Picked up burpee six and then ran back to startex. Announced once again that it paid to be a winner. T-claps to Pallino for pushing hard on the last run. He, Weed and Cardiac got “paid” by getting to do all 60 IC flutter kicks. Fin.

COT
T-claps to everyone who showed up for the service project Saturday at The Piranha. Many hands made light work. Bellhop, whose son attends Parkwood Elementary and who organized the mulch distribution Saturday, says the school is pursuing grant funding for additional clean-up and enhancement projects. The fact that they have a large volunteer workforce at the ready improves their chances of receiving said grants. Really proud of this group.
YHC took us out.

Til next time, aye!
