Week of Legs Part IV

April 13, 2017

WHEN: 04/13/2017
QIC: Shake It
PAX: Shake It, Au Jus, Blackball, Blindside, Pi, Knee Pad (FNG), Shanks, Beano, Bushwood, Pink, Nacho Libre, DOI, Cheese Splint, Draper, Popeye, Home Alone

4 PAX showed up for EC that Au Jus described as Terrorist Training. Apparently this description is what motivated Bushwood to come out. We did tire flips, pull ups, merkins, and monkey bars. An additional 12 PAX would arrive in the gloom for the ME to see what YHC had in store.
Warm-Up: All in cadence

  • SSH x20
  • WMH x10
  • Imperial Walkers x10
  • Little Baby Arm Circles x10 and Reverse x10

The Thang:
After a quick warm-up PAX moseyed to our favorite hill in Meadowmont. No idea what the street is called, probably should learn it. PAX pair off. One partner sprints to the top of the hill and back while the other partner does a PT exercise. When the first guy comes back, second partner goes. When both are finished, plank out until all PAX have finished the rep. 3 sprints total for each.

    • 1st: Mountain climbers
    • 2nd: Ski Apps
    • 3rd: Air Squats

After 3 sets YHC lead the PAX to the top of the hill and the traffic loop. Beano pointed out to YHC that it was not a circle, but more of a oval in shape. The PAX lunge walked the loop. At the halfway and end points, everyone completed 5 burpees. Hold a low squat until everyone completed the exercise.
Keeping the PAX moving, up next was a light jog down the greenway to the rear of the school for a 5 exercise set of wall stuff. Exercises were as follows: 15 step ups each leg OYO, 20 derkins single count, 15 box jumps OYO, 20 dips in cadence, and 10 bulgarian split squats on each leg single count.
PAX then made a short trip to the side of the building for some people”s chair. First set was a 1 minute hold. After a short recovery, back on the wall for a 5 count down the line.

Mary:
Bushwood graciously agreed to lead us in a painful rendition of the long slow flutter.
COT:
Birth of PH”s and Harbaugh”s babies. Please sign up to Q. Great way to grow as a leader. It gets easier the more you do it, or you just stop caring what everyone else thinks.
