We Have Liftoff

October 16, 2017

WHEN: 10/16/2017
QIC: Buffay
PAX: Champ, Chicken Fingers, Coco, Fish and Chips, Hightower, Ito, Nickelback, Toast, Virgo

Today was the day:  YHC had the pleasure of launching #therock.  The weather was perfect, the PAX were ready…we launched.

WARM-UP:

Mosey to the traffic circle

SSH x 20 (cadence count)

Good Mornings x 10 (cadence count)

Arm-Circles Forward x 10 and Reverse x 15 (cadence count)

WMH x 10 (cadence count)

THE THANG:

PAX moseyed to the Green Mile and performed a steep Bent Jacob’s Ladder.  10 Burpees at the top of the GM, 1 Air Squat at the bottom of the GM, 9 Burpees at the top of the GM, 2 Air Squat at the bottom of the GM, continue until 1 Burpee at the top of the GM and 10 Air Squats at the bottom.  Plank until all PAX finished, rotate between Right Arm High, Left Arm High, and Regular. TClaps to Ito for picking up other PAX.

Mosey to Cates Creek Park.  YHC appreciates the usual ingredients to a Northern Province workout, including Inch-Worms.  PAX lined up in the CCP parking lot and completed approximately 30 yards of Inch-Worm.  TClaps to Coco for picking up other PAX.

Mosey to the soccer field at CCP.  YHC began story time and implemented the Box of Animal Crackers.  This box was filled with Bears, Gorillas, and some unfortunate dead Spiders.  YHC constructed a crude rectangular box with headlamps after the original Animal Crackers Box.  The PAX completed the box with Bear Crawls across each length of the box, Gorilla Crawls across the widths, and Spider-Man Merkins in the corners (x 20, x 14, and x 10).

Mosey to the jungle gym at CCP.  PAX paired off.  Each pair completed 50 total Pull-Ups.  1 PAX completed AMRAP Pull-Ups while the other PAX enjoyed BBTW.  The pairs switched back and forth until the 50 were complete.  Plank until all PAX finished, rotate between Right Arm High, Left Arm High, and Regular.

PAX moseyed back to the traffic circle for a European Vacation.  PAX moseyed around the traffic circle until YHC called a certain group of PAX and the corresponding group completed a Usain Bolt up and out the requested artery.  PAX planked it out until all PAX completed the UB.

PAX moseyed further into Waterstone until they arrived at the cut-through that will be a huge part of this site.  The cut-through utilizes a bridge, perfect for the Human Canopy and Inch-Worms, and a short but steep beast of a hill that gave YHC inspiration for naming this site.  PAX gathered at the bottom of the hill.  PAX split into two packs.  Each pack completed one more Usain Bolt up the hill to the finish line.

MARY:

PAX circled up for a little Mary.

Freddie Mercuries x 10 (cadence count, low and slow)

Box-Cutters x 10 (cadence count)

LBCs x 20 (cadence count)

COT:

Prayers for Lopair and an impending procedure.  He is the toughest of all of us.  We know he’ll pull through and probably Q a site within a week.

Prayers for a Charlotte F3 brother, The Shore, and the loss of his son.

MOLESKIN:

Today was a great day.  YHC was thankful for the overwhelming support he received in launching this site. Champ, Coco, and Ito, drove all the way in from southern Chapel Hill to be a part of the launch.  Their support has been unwavering.  Thank you to the PAX of the Northern Province that have pushed me to be a leader.  Nickelback, Fish and Chips, Virgo, and Hightower are the glue for Hillsborough.  TClaps to Chicken Fingers and Toast for already becoming mainstays in the Northern Province.  Look forward to many more Qs at this wonderful site, and thanks again for support!
