Bitcoin during his weekly Hutch (running before meeting up with Falcon crew at Bean Traders) was kind enough to invite YHC to Q at DR. This is the last week before kid schlepping will make going this far afield in the mornings a no go, so seemed like good timing to take this one. Pleased to have 14 show up in the gloom. Brief disclaimer that horrifying poison ivy wounds on YHC’s hands preclude gloves and therefore would preclude bear crawls and the like, as YHC is a delicate flower. Everyone seemed bummed.

On that sour note…

WARMUP

  • SSH X 50IC (unplanned rep count – upside of poison ivy is you treat them with ‘roids, so was feeling great!)
  • Imperial Walker X 20IC
  • Hillbilly X 10 IC
  • Little Baby Arm Circle X 10 IC and reverse X10IC
  • Slow Merkin X 10IC

Mosey to quad just before stairs outside Wallace Wade
Paused for super slow good mornings and willie mays Hayes, x 6IC each, now that legs were a little warm

Then it was time to turn it up to 11

Mode of travel was running up and down stairs
11s – jump squats and merkins

Pick up the six and/or low squat hold

An observant PAX noted that one group had fewer stairs than the other, so we swapped for next round
11s – reverse lunge (single count each leg) and dry docks

Plank hold till all done

Mosey to grass fields, lined up along the right hand side
11s – backward run mode of travel
Burpees and WWII

Time was running short so announced that the first person to finish would set us all free. This may have actually served as a demotivator for many of us, but Jasmine came through to send us back on our way home. Moseyed back for

MARY

Already at time but squeezed in 45 flutter kicks IC while we waited for all to arrive back in the circle. Over at 0516.

COT

  • Bull, Oct. 30.
  • Iron Pax Challenge coming up next month – check Slack for sites that will be running it and definitely sign up, regardless of fitness level. Great challenge but lots of fun.
  • Make sure we are being mindful of spacing at workouts as Delta exposure increases.
  • Prayers for my brother who just landed in Montana yesterday to start law school.

YHC took us out.

MOLESKIN

DR is a great site with great leadership. Hate can’t get out there more often but we had a lot of fun today. T-claps to this positive hard-working and mumble-chattery crew. Aye!
