YHC recently moved about 5-10 minutes closer to the Eagle AO, but had yet to post since the relocation. YHC has been largely sidelined due to some minor health issues and was excited to get back out in the gloom. Due to a Sweats inspiration, YHC has accumulated 10,000 kettlebell swings each of the past two years and with the minor health issues aforementioned was a bit behind that pace for 2020, so here was an opportunity to catch up!

The Thang
YHC put the call out for kettlebells and the PAX responded. With 14 PAX, we partnered up into 7 groups of 2, mosey to the “pull up bars.”
Each group was to do 50 pull-ups and 100 kettle bell swings

Once completed, mosey to the front entrance wall where each partner group completed 50 derkins, 50 dips, and 100 kettlebell swings.

Once completed, mosey to the basketball court for people’s chair, passing the dutchie on the left hand side (h/t Bandcamp), where each pax would pass a coupon to the Pax next to them down the line and back. We added a degree of difficulty by increasing the weight from a 30 lb to a 40 lb kettle bell and added two shoulder press reps for each Pax down one way, and then two front rows on the way back. We did a recover lungewalk across the basketball court and back for a BTTW/100 kettlebell swing Dora.

Once each group completed that, we moseyed to the far playground with the swings. With a 1/7 mile track, the plan was for each team to get 8 laps in and while one partner was running on the track, the other partner was going to alternate kettle bell swings and swerkens. YHC had visions of 5 minute miles, but it took longer than expected, so we audibled once we completed 7 cumulative laps per goup and headed back to the startex for…

Mary
YHC was trying to decide on one Mary exercise to cap off the workout with the limited time and Red October quietly suggested flutter kicks, so that’s what we did…25 cadence count Flutter Kicks.

COT
Not much in the order of prayer requests or announcements – possible 3rd F opportunity at the Piranha AO (Parkwood Elementary in South Durham on 2/22) and a planned stone spreading at the Eagle AO (Creekside Elementary) in late April.

Thanks for the opportunity to lead – great to be back out in the gloom with the Eagle Pax!
