26 PAX, including several 2.0s arrived at a refreshingly sunny and clear, but very cold morning. Last night when YHC was perusing the Slack and Mega Document to see who was the Q, I realized….there is no Q for today. So I felt it was a good opportunity to get back out there and do this thang. It had been 8 months since my last TBL Q, so it was definitely time.

Warm Up:
SSH x 25
Windmills x 10
Willie Mayes Hayes x 10
Arm Circles x 15
Chinooks x 10
Squatty Chinooks x 5

The Thang: String of Pearls.
Since YHC didn’t know he was going to Q until 10:30 last night, I felt that the best course of action was to do a bunch of smaller workouts in various locations at the park and hope that it all added up to one big beatdown.

1st Pearl:
Mosey to the basketball court. Modified Jack Webb. Merkins counting down from 10, and Air Presses counting upwards with a factor of 3.

10 Merkins, 3 Air pressess
9 Merkins, 6 Air presses
8 Merkins, 9 Air presses
yada yada yada, etc, etc etc
2 Merkins, 27 Air presses
1 Merkin, 30 Air presses

2nd Pearl:
Mosey to the rock pile and grab a medium rock for immediate pain and two small hand-sized rocks for later. Put the smaller rocks down and use the medium rock first

20 Bicep curls
20 Overhead presses
20 Air Squats
20 Mufasa raises

10 Bicep curls
10 Overhead presses
10 Air Squats
10 Mufasa raises

5 Bicep curls
5 Overhead presses
5 Air Squats
5 Mufasa raises

Toss that medium rock back in the pile and pick up your two smaller rocks and take them with you.

3rd Pearl:
Mosey down to the lower field. Lunge walk the short length of the field with the rocks raised over head. During the long length, walk but hold the rocks out at 90 degrees from your body (in a “T”). On the next short length, lunge walk with rocks overhead. On the next longer length hold rock out in a T again.

4th Pearl:
Put your rocks down and take a position on the wall. Hold a dip plank and then a low dip plank until everyone finished their lap around the field.

Dips x 20
Side shuffle hop holding the rocks x 10
Windmills holding the rocks x 10

5th Pearl:
Run to the playground with your rocks and line up on the sidewalk.

2 PAX would peel off and do 10 pull-ups and then 10 Swerkins and then rejoin the group. Everyone got an opportunity. If you weren’t doing pull-ups or swerkins, you were doing the called out rep. There were a lot of different exercises and I don’t remember them all, but they included Air Squats, Jump Lunges, Merkins, Bicep Curls, LBCs, Plank Jacks, and probably a few more that I didn’t notice because I was doing pull-ups or because I was anoxic.

6th Pearl:
Mosey down the street and to the middle school, again carrying those rocks. At this point, those small rocks felt much bigger. Meet up at the track and drop the rocks.

One lap. On the straight away, lunge walk. At the corner, do 5 donkey burpees. A donkey burpee is a regular burpee with a donkey kick after the push up. On the curve, you sprint to the next corner. 5 donkey burpees at each corner (20 total) and lunge walk the straight, run the curves.

Mary:
LBC’s x 30
Flutter kicks x 50
