Introduction: You love meeting people, you love Valentine’s Day, you love early-morning beatdowns. This just writes itself. Welcome to speed dating, F3 style!
Warmup: The usual suspects for warmup: SSH IC x 30; forward and reverse arm circles, each IC x 10; IW IC x 10; slow-count deep squats SC x 10; merkins IC x 15.
The Thang: warmup fellowship lap around the AO, then congregate in the “formal lawn”. The Pax were were all given a small-talk question to ask each other on their speed dates, and then were divvied up into clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations. Then we started our speed dates, with each Pax doing the listed station exercise with a fellow Pax member for 90 seconds, asking each other their question of introduction during the exercise. After each exercise the Pax jogged around the formal lawn and moved onto the next station, encountering a new Pax to learn more about. Stations included: Balls to the Wall, bench Dips, Burpees, Merkins, Heels to Heaven, Mahktar N’ Diayes, Squat jumps, Dry Docks, stair Bear Crawls, and SSH.
Mary: We headed back up to the AO, where I appointed a couple Pax to lead some exercises. 30 OYO LBC’s per Hickory, and 5-Merkin Ring-‘O-Fire per Stubbs. Done!
COT: Announcements: 1) upcoming Habitat for Humanity work session 3/23 per Rebar. Check 3rd F channel. 2) 3rd week of Ruck PT month at the Wall on Friday.
BOM: Valentine’s Day is pretty easy: card, thoughtful sentiment, romance, etc. Do you have the time and energy to be thoughtful and appreciative on the other days of the year? Can you put down the phone or turn off the TV to engage in discussions? Can you give loving words, or words of affirmation, to loved ones and friends when they are not expected, but earned? Keep striving to be the husband, father, son, leader, follower, and engaged community member you teach your kids to be. Aye!
