The special Thanksgiving convergence edition of Bullpen at the Devil’s Ridge AO. We do indeed have so much to be thankful for, and gratitude is a practice that we can all benefit from developing in ourselves.

THE THANKS (today instead of THE THANG)
We moseyed around the Duke campus (about two miles in all), stopping at Cameron Indoor, the main Chapel quad, some brand new plaza near the Engineering building, that wacky bronze camel sculpture, and then back to the main site. At each location we did the following set of exercises in pyramid style (10 reps, then 15 reps, then 20 reps, then 15 reps, then 10 reps):
–Heels to heaven
After each four-exercise set, one PAX declared three things he was thankful for. PAX were thankful for the Stephen F Austin Lumberjacks, pie, new jobs, family trips, motorized transport that makes our lives much smoother, good health, family, crisp fall weather, and a gorgeous sunrise, among others.
I am grateful for F3 and all it has brought me over the last 5 years, particularly the incredible fellowship with hundreds of men who I would not have gotten to know without this bonding experience. Stay strong! Eat more pie! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
CIRCLE OF TRUST: We prayed for Annie, wife of Sweater Vest, who was scheduled to get pathology results post-surgery this week. We prayed for YHC’s new job, starting Monday. We gave thanks for the wonderful gifts we are all given each day.
