Rambler and Griswold introduced and welcomed me into the #AMRAP fellowship late last year. Rambler began to teach me the basics of rucking, ruck PT, etc. Somehow, those two friendships led me to becoming the site Q at #amrap. They (R&G) both maintained and developed the site, and I merely stepped in to add just enough quirkiness and weird music that new PAX are liking it and other PAX are returning.
During the first week of January, we were averaging 4 PAX and today I was shocked that 12 people posted. I genuinely enjoy everything connected with this site and this group that is corralling and supporting it.
Today’s workout was something that I learned from Uzi, although the first round was mess because I only planned for 6 to 8 guys. After the first round, Cricket and Chum helped me to get it organized. I think the circuit worked out well. And thanks to Rambler for providing the majority of the equipment.
Warm-up – slow push-ups; high knees, arm circles;
ME: timer does 5-push-ups and 5 pull-ups (slow first time around)
Second station: plank touches on pole
Third station: Ruck sack overhead holds
Fourth station: Hanging leg raises
Fifth station: Battle Ropes
Sixth station: Slam ball bounce
Seventh station: Burpees
Eighth: Dips
Ninth: Overhead Press
Tenth: Bicep curls with ruck sack
11 and 12: alternated between balls to the wall and tricep extensions with weight
Interregnum:
Circle up and pass ruck sack where each person does 10 overhead presses, while everyone else does fast feet/high knees
We completed two more circuits with some Mary at the end (led by the one and only Beaujolais)
Welcome FNG: originally, we named his Poppins (because I played a song from Mary Poppins for the music), but then we found out that their is another Poppins, so we renamed him Bada Bing on Slack–primarily because he’s from New Jersey, and he must know someone in the syndicate

COT: I think those of us that have been around awhile, although I just started last August, we, again, were shocked by the turnout–I believe Marky Mark, Cricket, Chum, RG3, and the Big Cat (Catskill), shed a few tears during COT
