YHC designed a workout that involved a ton of pullups, running, and stair work at The Forest Theater. However, Boucher offered to open the gates to Kenan Stadium a few minutes before the workout started and there’s no way I was going to let that opportunity pass me by. As we warmed up, I designed a new workout that involved working our way to the top of the stadium, through the box seat section, and down to the field. What we ended up with was a simple Squat and Merkin heavy workout but getting through it was hardly simple. What an amazing way to start the week!
Warmup (all in cadence count):
- 10x Side Shuffle Hops
- 10x Willie Mays Hayes
- 10x Good Mornings
- 10X Little Baby Arm Circles and Reverse
- 10x Overhead Claps
- 10x Seal Claps
- 10x Slow Merkins
- 10x Slow Squats
The Thang:
- Bunny Hop the outer stairwell up to box seats
- Bear crawl down the stadium stairs to the field
- 21s – Squats, run to the other sideline, Merkins (Just like 11s, but many more reps)
- Pair off into groups of two and Race up the stadium stairs and hold squat until last man arrives
