It was a glorious day in Briar Chapel. Somewhat humid.
Extra Credit:
- Dueling Banjos and Jinx completed a 5K
- Mothman split off (because that’s what I do) and did the 2.2 mi Cricket Loop
Warm Up:
- Today we had the pleasure of meeting FNG Zach Hobbs
- Zach is from Boone and works in the Solar industry with Cricket
- Zach has two kids and 800 sheep on a 150 acre farm outside of Boone (note to self: the kids are not goats – they are real live human kids, and I’m sure they are adorable)
- We began our warm-up with the tried and true SSH
- Duplo arrived after our SSH’s and nearly took out the water bottles setup as part of the morning festivities – Duplo, thank you for not running them over!
- The PAX then moved into Forward Arm Circles and Reverse Arm Circles
- Flutter Kicks
- Willie Mays Hays
Main Event:
- The PAX counted off and began with a Ricky Bobby (even’s & odd’s each formed a line) around the AO
- Upon returning to the AO the even’s & odd’s maintained their distance and lined up behind the water bottles that were spared from Duplo wrath, as described earlier in this story
- The PAX held a relay race dribbling down and back using their dominant hand. The even’s won the first round. Winners had 5 burpees, Losers had 10 burpees.
- After mixing up the teams, slightly, the PAX held another bball relay using their weak hand. The mostly odd’s team won. Winners had 5 burpees, Losers had 10 burpees.
- In his valiant effort to bend, not break the rules, Brotox did wipe out the phone and speaker placed in the AO. The speaker still works like a charm and the phone sustained zero damage.
- The PAX then moseyed over to the basketball courts, maintaining their groupings, and executed another relay where each team member needed to sink a free throw to win. Squats were executed after the relay.
- The people’s chair (each PAX counting for 7 seconds) was executed.
- Another round of free throw relays were held.
- Another round of people’s chair (this time at 10 seconds each)
- We tossed in some Flutter Kicks for good measure
Marry:
- Molar was as sharp as a tack during his first Marry in 18 months. He suggested the PAX do a ring of fire burpees (5 each)
- Yanni went first and decided to integrate one basket ball into his exercise. That challenge couldn’t go unanswered by the rest of the PAX so everyone answered the call.
