Today begins Maraschino’s birthday week of co-Qs featuring at least 5 VQs.  It was a challenge to find a willing and able VQ at the Thicket, so Churham’s own Weasel Shaker, Nightshift, volunteered to co-Q.  On the eve of the Thicket, Turkey Jerky had a last-minute change in plans that allowed him to experience this rite of passage.  We decided to do a three-headed hydra co-Q

Warm-a-rama (Nightshift)

25 SSHs

20 Seal-SHs

5 burpees because Bump Draft said something asinine

15 Smurf Jacks

Nightshift reviewed the 5 pillars of F3

The Thang #1 (Turkey Jerky)

5 laps around the parking lot, alternating bear crawls and crab walk (essentially a half-Devil’s Mile).  Initially, the plan was to break up the travelling with 12 burpees after every lap.  TJ relented and changed the burpees to SSHs.  After 2 laps, the mode of travel evolved into a mosey.

The Thang #2 (Maraschino)

We are calling this one the “Big, Dumb Ox” after something that Paper Jam said in the gloom.

Pax divided up into three teams based on level of confidence:  overconfident, proper self-image, and low self-esteem (or IR).  The overconfident group received an 80# sandbag; the middle group received a 60# sandbag; the low group received a 40# sandbag.

First relay race involved each PAX doing a sandbag clean and toss the length of the parking lot and returning with a sandbag carry.  The travelling PAX would call out an exercise for his teammates to perform.  The catch was that the exercises could not be repeated among any of the three teams.  Penalty was a lap around the parking lot.

The 40# sandbag team won and got to select the second mode of travel.  It was a sandbag carry around the entire parking lot.  Same rules with calling out a “resting” exercise and not repeating exercises.

All the PAX did a penalty lap.
