Beautiful 61 degree morning with a light breeze. Low humidity – perfect spring morning.

Strange van was parked on the sidewalk outside the school along with a professional camera on a tripod.  Perhaps the news trying to get footage of the school due to a Covid outbreak at the high school.

Thang #1

Run to the bottom of the road in front of the school to Spooky’s second favorite hill.  Grassy hill with a steep climb, then a level section, then another steep climb to the top – perfect for bear crawl!

Jacob’s Ladder from the bottom to the top of the hill.  Nine merkins starting at the bottom, One IC mountain climber at the top.  Bear crawl to the top, careful run back to the bottom of the hill.  Finish with nine IC mountain climbers at the top, then one merkin at the bottom.

Plank it out until everyone is finished.

 

Thang #2

Resting our legs for the next major hill, we circled up around the traffic circle.

Everyone assumed table position (crab walk position but straight legs to chest).  Table walk sideways.  10 paces to the right.  Then, 10 WWIIs.  Then table walk sideways with 10 paces to the left.  Finish with 10 WWIIs.

All rested for the next hill.

 

Thang #3

All pax find their “number” of burpees in 20 seconds.  For example, if you could complete five burpees in the 20 seconds then your number is “5”.

Mosey to the top of the Tar Heel Drive. (Steep hill that stretches three short blocks.)

Everyone runs to each of the light posts on the hill, perform your number of burpees, run to the next light post.  Stop descending  near the bottom of the hill at second last light post.  Then, backwards run back up, stopping at each light post to perform your number of burpees.  Finish at the top with burpees.

 

10 Count, then mosey to the bottom of the stairs leading up to the school.  Two pax run up the stairs at a time after calling out an exercise to remaining pax.  Pax at the top perform same exercise.  Finish when all pax have made it to the top (two at a time).

 

Thang #4

Mosey to the bus entrance to the school.  Grab some low wall for: 10 IC dips, 15 derkins, 15 jump-squats.  Second round: 15 dips, 12 derkins, 15 jump-squats.  Finished with 15 dips and 12 erkins.

Run back to the AO.

 

Mary – flutter kicks until everyone had arrived.  Finish with boat-canoe.
