Recovering from Injury

I tweaked my calf a week ago Thursday then proceeded to strain it pretty good at last TBR. In my defense we were doing the FBI PT test and since I’m looking for a new job I need to know if that might be an option. The nice part of injuries it can force you to do something you would no otherwise. I’d guess we typically cover at least 2 miles at TBR with a healthy serving of hills and or stairs, but not with a bad calf you don’t.

2 pax the EC ruck and 10 pax, including 2.0 FNG for ME. TBR is 2.0 friendly, but we don’t dial back the beatdown-dem kids gotts to keep up! Really though, we modified some of the TABATA exercises. 35#s KB swings is a bad idea for a 70# boy!

Warm up
Arm circles, windmill, squats, merkins, mountain climbers

Bear crawl field ascending merkins 5, 10, 15, 20 every 25yds
25 LBCs IC
Lunge walk field ascending squats 25, 30, 35, 40 every 25yds
60 sec. Lap around the field

TABATA time! 1 min work, 20 sec rest. Stations included KB swings, one armed clean and snatches, bent over rows, lady makers, candlesticks, flutters, WW2. Ricky Bobby around the field

Bear crawl field descending merkins 20, 15, 10, 5 every 25yds
25 box cutters IC

From the baseline, a pax called an exercise for the other before running 25yds out and back. Exercises included burpees, merkins, WW2s, monkey humpers and more.
