Introduction:
Today marks the 25th anniversary of me likely playing the computer game Oregon Trail.  I also used to live in Oregon and sadly it was nothing like the game so I moved.

Warm-O-Rama:
Imperial Squat Walkers (x10)
Side Straddle Hops (x20)
Willy Mays Hays (x10)
Slow Merkins (x10)

The THANG:
I described the lay of the land and explained the route’s milestones (a fort, a river crossing, hunting grounds, the midpoint madness, and back again), our mode of travel (⅓ Oxen crawl, ⅓ lunge cargo, ⅓ buddy carry riders) and that safety is everyone’s responsibility.  

During movement the plan was to have the last buddy pair run to the front, become oxen, and everyone falls back to assume their new roles.  It worked great for the first 5 feet then it just became a gaggle of lunge walkers, Griswold carrying all 6 sand bags and Boyardee casually walking alongside the column be-boppin and chit chattin.

The Fort:
Once we arrived we had to collectively pay the rent for the night: 100 pull-ups.
During the visit one of our pioneers was bitten by a snake an died.  We carried his remains to the next stop

The River Crossing:
We were supposed to leap frog boat/canoes across the river.  Instead we just all stood around and stared at Fieri, Duplo, and Stubbs do 5 minutes of ab work.  Somehow we all eventually made it across.
During the crossing a pioneer died of Cholera and we added some more dead weight to the ox train.

Hunting grounds:
Split up 50/50 hunters versus bison
Hunters did 5 burpees and spun around while the bison grazed in the basketball court
If a bison was hit by a hunter’s tennis ball the bison did 10 Merkins.
One of our team was killed by Dysentery

About midway we got attacked by Natives, got lost, died of Typhoid and Dysentery AGAIN and never made it to Willamette Valley.
