Failure – It seems as if failure is having a rebirth in our society.  There is a base response to avoid failure, and how society expects you to always succeed and success is defined by constantly achieving and progressing.  Lately it seems as there is a plethora of articles, columns, blogs and social media posts about how great failure is and how liberating it is, and how you can learn so much from failure, and experiencing failure is how you grow….well YHC experienced this in spades at the Falcon.

YHC has been wanting to do a low rep, high set work out to get high cumulative reps in without the overload of exhaustion early on, looking for a slow burn, and the concept of 10 circuits of pyramids sounded like a great idea that YHC couldn’t shake.

6 Pax represented and did EC Manmakers… #LifeGoals

The Thang

YHC attempted (and repeatedly failed) to lead the 11 Pax who showed up  through the following circuits.  The first round was one rep each, the next round was two reps each and so on and so forth…YHC naively thought we could get up to 10 each and then back down…YHC should have used a “Weinke” to keep track, but the Pax all stepped up to keep us headed in the right direction and thus the Pax earned “Co-Q” honors.

Slow Merkins

Jump Squats

Dips

Donkey Kicks

Carolina Dry Docks

Monkey Humpers

Tuck Jumps

Super Mans (forgot these on rotations 2-5, but caught up on rotation 6)

Jump Lunges

Burpees

Floyd Planks

We ultimately ran out of time, didn’t even make it half way to YHC’s goal, but tried something new, learned, and will be better next time!  Look out for tearing the Pyramid of Pain down at a future Boucher Q.

COT/Moleskin

Excited for the successful launch of the newest Durham/Churham AO – The Honey Badger.  The Falcon’s numbers were much lower than usual due to this, but allowed for a more manageable Q and some solid mumblechatter.

Prayers and joy to T’eo’s little girls 4 year birthday.  Hoping the Smith Family has a wonderful celebration

Positive energy to Shake-It as he tries to do a charity 5K sub-20 minute tomorrow.  His focus and discipline has been inspiring.

Thanks again for the support and encouragement!

Aye!
