Another month passes and it’s time for YHC’s personal purgatory; turn up early and run a 5 mile circuit, twice.

Warm Up

SSH, WMH, Cankles

Thang

6 PAX met at 0450 with the intention for getting to 10 miles. The weather was cool, the sun was rising and the PAX were full of piss and vinegar, so they headed out to ‘get ‘er done’. The more experienced runners of the group set a fellowship pace (for them) whilst talking the rest of the PAX through different wood blowing and fingering techniques.

Of course we’re talking instruments…….

Since the inception of 10 Mile Tuesday, at least one PAX has had to dash off to a Poopatorium to lighten the load. As YHC was the founding member this has euphemistically become known as a ‘Cricket’. Today was no exception, with another PAX joining the hallowed club. YHC is proposing that this gets renamed a Paula, after Paula Radcliffe who was caught short during the London Marathon one year. It’s been suggested as an addition to the Lexicon. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1488162/Well-Paula-thats-one-way-to-stop-them-talking-about-Athens.html

They returned to the AO on completion of the first 5 mile circuit to find 5 more PAX raring to go, great stuff! Just as heads were starting to dip the fresh blood kept morale high and enthused. The most notable event during the second circuit was the glimpse of something hirsute in the morning light. Which led to the discussion of whether it was big hairy one or a little hairy one.

Of course we’re talking canines……….

All PAX successfully returned to the AO, and YHC was really proud. 85 miles got as a group and 11 attendees, the best since YHC has been coming to the Rabbit. Congrats!

Just when you thought it was all over, Duplo remembers that he turned 45 and the requisite merkins finshed the PAX off.

Announcements

COT

Massive congrats to Duplo for getting his first 10 miler in and crushing it, T-Claps to John Boy nailing it and fist bumps all round for the group commitment to the Rabbit, it’s so much more fun when there is a big group.

Succeeding in an arduous activity rewards you with a lot of pleasure and good feeling, take those feelings and spread them around. AYE!
