Misdemeanor Bunnies

After a couple month absence due mainly to the pandemic, YHC made his return Q today at Tobacco Road. 11 PAX eagerly awaited the unveiling of the Misdemeanor Bunnies which harkened back to darker days of the Iron PAX Challenge and the infamous Murder Bunny workout. The Murder Bunny workout was especially brutal and you had to bunny/frog/gorilla hop with a cinder block 25, 50, 75 and 100 yds and then do various exercises. Well, because we aren’t sadists, and because Knope would kill us if we drug cinderblocks across the turf field, YHC decided to do a bit of modification. Something equally illegal feeling, but maybe a bit less felonious. Hence… Misdemeanor Bunnies.

Warm Up (started off a bit rusty with a very disorganized, but still legally binding disclaimer).

Burpees x 5 (to set the tone)

SSH x 20

Willie Mays Hayes x 10

Harvester x 10

Arm circles x 10 forward and then x 10 reverse

Slow windmills (for safety) x 10

Good Mornings x 10 (no clap type)

The Thang: Misdemeanor Bunnies

Mosey to the old rock pile to pick up a medium-sized and some would say, slightly odorous rock. (Seriously Knope, can you please clean your rocks?). Then travel to the turf field.

Everyone lines up on the nearest goal line. There are 4 markers on the field 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the field length. At this time, I’d like to point out that this is worse than the Murder Bunny workout which specified YARDs and the turf field is 20 yards longer than the IPC version. So hooray for math and longer distances!

The PAX will walk lunge with the rock to the 25% marker. There the PAX performed:

10 Burpees, 20 WWII situps, 30 Merkins, 30 Bicep curls, 30 Overhead presses, and 30 weighted squats. Then travel back to the starting goal line. Once all PAX had returned we ran a socially distanced jog around 25% of the field.

Then we repeated all of that, but in order at 50%, 75% and 100% with the runs escalating in distance to accommodate Q symmetry. We did take a Floyd Plank intermission in the middle with 20 count rest.

Mary: Well, we ran out of time, so the 80 WWII situps performed suffice for the purposes of this workout.

Moleskin: It was great to get my Q legs back. We have a great group of guys down in SoDu.  Thanks to everyone for not pointing out my inconsistencies and faults today on my first Q back. Oh wait, yeah, that totally happened. 30 burpees right now to anyone reading this who instigated and participated in this counterproductive type of mumble chatter! Ready position, move. And exercise.
