Earth day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. This year, the Earth Day movement celebrates its 51st year of existence. In honor and recognition of Earth Day, YHC decided to narrate the 10 exercises we’ll be performing through a scenario of what life would be like without the billions of individuals that have mobilized around the world for this cause and made our world a much safer place.
The Scenario
In this fictional world, we still have climate deniers and conspiracy theorists who believe the earth is flat. They attempt to persuade us by having us visit the four corners of the world. Even still, climate change is a real thing. As activists prepare to fight, a collective panic begins to set in as they realize there is not much they can do without funding. Yes, even in this world, it’s all about the Benjamins.
Activists didn’t gain much traction and as a result climate change begins to transform weather patterns and sea levels. As the seas rise, we are forced from the Forests to the Sea and along the way encounter the wrath of a growing Bearmuda Triangle. Temporary relief is found as they hop from island to island, but with sea levels continuing to rise and the weather being completely unpredictable the only species that are managing thrive are killer bees!
Luckily the bees are not able to survive in high altitudes so we begin to climb mountains and struggle mightily along the way. As we reach the top, Mountain Goats attack one by one as Al Gore steps in and attempts to save humanity.
