3 PAX showed up for a run on one of the Hap, Hap, Happiest times of the year.  YHC came decked out with his Griswold Blackhawks jersey (Better movie than Die Hard, Griswold) and Christmas lights.  Sadly due to the temps, the Christmas lights weren’t having it and wouldn’t stay lit.  After some brief chatter between the PAX we got started.

THE THANG

Pace was set at a leisurely one to where we could get some good mumble chatter going the whole run.  We started on Great Ridge, turned right on Granite Mill Blvd and onto Boulder Point Drive.  We then hung a right at the bottom of the road and hopped onto the walk path that leads into the Encore section.  We hugged the outskirts of that section and came out on Cliffdale.  At this point we were making good time/distance and started to meander to get in that extra mileage.  Mary wasn’t happening because I’m not getting this awesome jersey dirty folks.  All in all we got in 5.39 miles in 56 minutes.

Perspective.  Life has been extremely stressful these past few months for YHC.  But each time I try telling myself how lucky I am in general with what I have.  There are people who don’t have a job, a home and barely any food.  I’m here stressing about something minuscule. So always try to step back when life punches you in the face and think about the positive things in your life.
