Ladd-a-mids

August 15, 2018

WHEN: 08/15/2018
QIC: Mothman
PAX: Rambler, Hickory, El Jefe, Stop Drop and Roll, Yanni, Bunyan, Goat Cheese, Fat Cat

This was a difficult morning for YHC. I couldn’t count and I couldn’t tell the difference between a ladder and pyramid. Thankfully the PAX was supportive and laughed their way through this mornings work out.

The Warm Up:

Side Shuffle Hop x 20 IC

Burpees x 5 OYO

Fat Cat & Goat Cheese Show Up!

FWD Arm Circles x 10 IC

Rev Arm Circles  x 10 IC

Burpees x 5 OYO

Imperial Walker x 10 IC

Willie Mays Hayes x 10 IC

The Main Event:

Mosey to the fountain just south of the Pittsboro traffic circle. This is basically where the workout turned into “cadence-chaos”. I can not guarantee that the ladder reps listed below took place in the order listed here. In fact, I can basically guarantee that they did not follow this order. Sorry! My bad.

Derkins Ladder – 3,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,6

Peoples Chair

Dips Ladder – 3,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,6

Peoples Chair

Step-Ups Ladder – 3,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9,8f,7,6,5,4,6

Peoples Chair

Mosey to brick path south of the fountain.

Merkins Ladder – 3,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,6

In between Merkins the PAX reflected on the glorious Pittsboro sunrise and the amazingly fresh air present in this beautiful NC city (we should bottle this stuff).

The PAX also identified a need to eliminate sleeves from many of our shirts.  Thankfully several of the PAX have a head-start on this activity (bravo men)!

Mosey back to Page Vernon Park

Medium Pace Flutter Kicks x 20 IC

COT:

  • M and I just celebrated 10 years of marriage. It has dawned on me that we’ve all increased the amount of responsibilities in our lives through the years: family, work, extra-curricular, etc… try to stay focused on the important stuff. Also, if you see someone who could use a pick-me-up during the day (kind words, compliments, a smile) don’t leave them hanging. It might be the best part of their day.

AYE!
