The history of June 9th:

  1.  Bob Dylan was awarded a honorary doctorate of Music from Princeton, so we listened to Knocking on Heavens door doing burpees every time he said “heaven’s door” and squat jumps in between.
  2. A world record for Dominos being knocked down was set at ~170000. So we did 17 inch worm merkins in remembrance
  3. Donald Duck was born in 1934 (first appearance in a comic).  So we duck walked around the parking lot
  4. Edward Snowden came forward on this day in 2013.  So we did a set of 20 double secret burpees and a set of 13 double secret merkins
  5. The Belmont Stakes takes place on this day ever few years. So we pretended to be thoroughbred horsed and run 1.5 miles in 2:30 (or as far as you can go in 2:30)
  6. The first artificial organ with stem cells was in planted on this day. It was a windpipe, so for the rest of the workout we broke in to 2 groups. One person from each group would run a lap around the parking lot while the rest of the group continued doing what ever random exercise YHC yelled out.  This lasted for about 15 minutes and involved line jumps, squats, planks, plank jacks, mountain climbers, merkins, lunges, tuck jumps, high knees, SSH.
