Jammin’ Four Corners

October 16, 2018

WHEN: 10/16/2018
QIC: Fieri
PAX: Rebar, Catskill, Mothman, Dueling Banjos, Eddie the Eagle

YHC loves the Jag as an AO so always a treat to be able to Q there. I wanted to do something a little bit different than normal – working out to some tunes is always more pleasant than not so I brought the mobile jam box and tried to design a workout around some of classic rock’s best (except the warmup song). After all, the Jag is one of a few sites where you can blast music at 5:30 in the morning and nobody cares!

Warm Up

Arm Circles (IC) – Forward and Reverse
Calf Stretches
Chumbaburpees (YHC played Chumbawamba’s Tubthumping; PAX did SSH during song, burpees when the song says ‘I get knocked down’ – A total of 27 burpees)

ME

Four Corners – In the backdrop YHC played some of my favorite classic rock tunes!

PAX would do a mix of exercises/reps at each corner and then travel between corners using different modes of transportation.

Exercises Included:
Merkins
Wide Merkins
Ranger Merkins
Diamond Merkins
(More) Burpees
Iron Mikes
LBCs
WWIIs
Squat jumps
Seal Jacks
Mountain Climbers
Air Squats
Plank jacks
Carolina Dry Docks
Ski Abs
Frog Jumps

Transportation Included:
Bear Crawl
Crawl Bear
Crab Walk
Sprint (All you got)
Side Shuffle
Inchworm
Mosey
At one point for a break we went to the wall and did a couple of mins of Peoples’ Chair and 30 seconds of BTTW.
Mary
YHC continued the music theme and played Moby’s Flower (Gren Sally Up, Green Sally Down….). PAX did leg lifts to this tune trying to never let the legs touch the ground at all. Can’t say that YHC succeeded in that….
