The TNHANG, part 1:
Zook is known for his icebreakers during the ME. We did it in reverse with trivia about the QIC (icemakers).
Which of these states have I lived in? NY, NJ, CT, PA. Correctly answer (CT) provided by Madden, CT is the 5th state in the US, so we did 5 burpees OYO.
In which state did I live (or have I lived) the longest? FL, GA, NC, SC. Correctly answered by Madden (GA), so we celebrated with 4 8-count man-makers (GA is the 4th state).
State I was born in? VA, WV, MD, TN. Also correctly answered by Madden (TN) and our reward was 16 SC merkins (TN is the 16th state).
I have lived in which of the following states? OR, ND, SD, OH. A rare miss by Madden. He said OH but the correct answer is all. So we did 40 squats for SD.
And, finally, in which state have I lived twice? CT, GA, TN, NC. The correct answer is NC so we did 12 get-ups in honor of NC as the 12th state in the US.
The THANG, Part 2:
2 laps in the parking lot, Ricky Bobby-style, PAX in front carries 20# medicine ball overhead.
Then to the field for some medicine ball tosses with PAX choice mode of travel to the ball for a toss by another PAX – repeated as necessary.
After a nice mosey to the playground, split in two groups for alternating sets of 5 pull-ups/12 squats or 16 dips/12 derkins. After 4 rounds, the 2 groups flapjack so all PAX had a chance to get 20 pull-ups in the ME.
Found some wall space for BTTW and 4-count exercise of PAX choice down the line. Repeated with People’s Chair. Mosey to AO.

COT: YHC expressed gratitude for for being able to come out and do some work and to have camaraderie and fellowship with other PAX. F3 and the #thethicket have forced me to abandon 2 policies I had for a long time: 1) exercise, but don’t actually try hard, and 2) don’t work out on Mondays. The consistency of showing up for #thethicket this past year has been great for me – more workouts, more effort, and more time with a great group of men. AYE!
