YHC spent all his creativity on yesterday’s Rameses Q and kept striking out last night trying to think of a plan for Tobacco Road this morning. Memories of Floyd’s legendary casino Q were dancing in my head, when I sort of fondly remembered a Boucher “Blackjack” beatdown that I decided to recreate this morning. Of course, while driving to the AO this morning, I remembered that the NFL Draft is tonight and that would have been a great Q…40 yard dash, shuttle run, evaluating everyone in their underwear…alas, maybe next year.
Warm-up
SSH x 32 (IC – 32 picks in the 1st round! Still snuck in the draft theme!)
GM x 10 (IC)
Hillbilly x 15 (IC)
WMH x 10 (IC)
MC x 20 (IC)
Overhead Clap x 20 (IC)
Mosey to the turf field for the simplest of instructions. Start on near sideline, sprint to far sideline, perform 20 merkins. Sprint back, perform 1 LBC. Repeat 19 & 2, Repeat 18 & 3, etc, all the way to 1 merkin and 20 LBC’s. We stayed together as a group and took 10 counts at 15, 10, 5 along the way. It was a grind. Lots of hands on knees and labored breathing. All the PAX absolutely crushed it and there were no stragglers as we completed the whole routine in tidy 30 minutes. Special shoutout to Bellhop, who has some wheels! Never surprised to see Cardiac sprint away from the group, but Bellhop kept right up with him and may have actually legged out the legend on a couple of sprints.
We had plenty of Mary already, so YHC decided to go for a round of Rocky to close it out. Each PAX grabbed a rock of his own choosing (no size parameters given) and we circled up. The trick was, we all got to experience all the rocks. Rotating ring of fire with the rocks. PAX at 6 o’clock position calls the exercise and once complete, everyone sets down their rock and rotates one position to the right. No surprise, Cardiac selected a beautiful boulder for all to contend with. Exercises included: overhead press, lat rows x 2, curls x 2, overhead hold, goblet squats, tricep extensions, and rock burpees.
