Hills, Hills, and more Hills

October 4, 2017

WHEN: 10/04/2017
QIC: Peach
PAX: Subprime, Misery, Ocho, Coco, Boucher, Blindside, Slumdog, MLP, Kitten, Uzi, Sizzle, Spitz, Peppermint Patty, Draper, Champ, Daffy, Loonie, Sweats, Marta, Walt, Deep Dish, Appomattox, Cheese, Pedialyte, Peach

6 feisty PAX took on the Pine with speed while 7 other beasts made the climb with added weight.  Nice turnout for EC run and ruck of Lone Pine!  Tclaps to Subprime and Kitten for 3 full trips down the Pine.  YHC knew what was coming in the ME and decided against the third trip (no regrets on that decision).

Warmup run to upper parking lot:

SSH x 20

WMH x 10

IW x 10

Smurf Jacks x 10

Arm Circles x 10

Merkin ladder to 10

The Thang:

Mosey to stop sign. Pax instructed to sprint from stop sign at top of hill to back of parking lot and assume plank position in order of arrival.  YHC then paired-up the PAX — first with last, second with next to last, and so on.

Dora Round 1 = 200 air squats. Partner 1 runs from top of parking lot to bottom of THWM and back while Partner 2 does air squats.

Dora Round 2 = 200 WWII’s.  Same running as round 1

I believe all PAX made the full trip down and back up THWM three times before the 2 rounds were complete.  YHC was planning a third round of Dora with burpees but the PAX seemed to be getting all they needed at this point so called an audible and got in some upper body work for recovery.

Mosey to rails for a couple sets of pulls and merkins.

Set 1: inverted pull-up overhand grip x 20

Set 2: hand release merkins x 20

Set 3: inverted pull-up underhand grip x 20

Set 4: hand release merkins x 20

Mosey to bottom of THWM and back up to parking lot

Traveling burpees to top of parking lot.

Mary: Courtesy of Sweats — kneeling plank with shins parallel to ground, forward and back movements one leg at a time.

COT: Ruck the ATT Oct 14, Carpex Odyssey this Saturday (Oct 7).

Blindside took us out with strong words of prayer focused on humility and honor.

Thanks to all for your hard push this morning.  As always it’s an honor and a privilege to lead this group.
