GRT Jerome Gonzalez Memorial Workout

February 26, 2018

WHEN: 02/26/2018

I did not know Jerome Gonzalez. I did not interact with him at the Joe Warner Ft. Bragg Heavy. Nevertheless, his passing at the event left an indelible mark. He was excited. He was prepared. He was up for the challenge. And yet, he passed. I must admit, I don’t take much comfort in knowing he passed “doing what he loved”. However, after reading up on him, I do take great comfort in the things he did accomplish and the life that he lived.  Knowing that he left behind two children, and knowing that there was a memorial fund setup for the kids, I knew that I wanted to pay tribute to him and hopefully add to the collective community’s donations to support his kids in this, and future, difficult times. With a quick shuffling of Qs, I was able to lead the PAX at The Thicket in this very important workout.

EC/Warmup

3 PAX began the day with EC Murph training. 9 PAX began the first evolution of the memorial workout as EC, a 2 mile ruck with various coupons. Props to Duplo for his first Ruck!
