After finding out last week that YHC and Kia (also YHC) were birthday twins, we knew a borthday Q was in the making.

With ideal condition of 70° with 90% humidity tacked on (oy), that was not enough to stop 28 PAX from starting the weekend off right.

Warm up. 22 was the theme.

Main Event:

Round 1: From sideline to sideline, pax partnered up and did wheelbarrows with 22 jump squats at midfield, followed by 22 merkins and bunny hop back.

Round 2: Same partners, midfield was 22 single count line jumps, followed by 22 plank jumps and crab walk back.

After regrouping and totally underestimated how fast we’d be getting throughtje planned portion of the workout, YHC had to think on the fly. While one person from each group did monkey humpers, the other would run to the other sideline and complete 5 burpees and switch off. Round 2 was the same thing but switched to squats and upped to 7 burpees. And when it was topped off with a minute of overhead claps, the pain was starting to get real at this point.

With the few minutes left of the first half Q, the four corners were completed as a group with 15 mountain climbers, 15 monkey humpers, 15 merkins, and 15 WWIIs.

Little did we all know that that was the easy portion.

With the Q switch there was no slowing down. With a quick mosey to the bottom of the hill, we started what was later revealed to be the Everest (how fitting). Walk lunges with a squat in between each lunge to the top of the stop sign where 11 burpees were there to out us out of our misery. Mosey back down the hill and hold plank until the group returned. What’s that? Again you say? Yep, we sure did. Thankfully backward running on the hill replaced the Everest, but 11 burpees were still the reward to greet us.

Mary: At this point, we were all waiting for it. 22 had come up in the workout (for YHC #1) but what about 51 of an exercise? 25 SSH and 26 merkins back to back. 5 count ring of fire was there to cap off what little will we had to continue on.

Announcements: Best of luck to our F3 group competing in the Blue Ridge Relay. And huge shout out to those who was able to help Coco and his M move several items from their home. I know it was much appreciated. Coffeeteria! Trying to get that to be a regular occurrence at Panera following TBL.
