YHC had a few bad theme ideas from old country songs this week–What This Town Needs is a Few Good Funerals; I’m Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate Our Home; etc.  But Tom T Hall won out with his four titular idylls, and thus did we have a four-segment workout, which in no way corresponded to his lyrics.

We had an FNG, Jim, join us.  Uzi had EH’d him at Caribou.  He seemed to have done more research on F3 than most FNGs, which, caveat emptor.

Segment 1

40-sec timer set; how many manmakers can you do?

Ten minute tabata:  40 seconds of manmakers with 20 second recovery.  Try to hit that marker number every minute.

Very quiet group this morning.  Mumblechatter restricted to Wawa’s (generally unsuccessful) attempts to confuse YHC.

Mosey to soccer stadium.

Segment 2

Find a stairwell; go down and up.  The first time you get to the top, 2 burpees.  Repeat, but with 4 burpees, then 6/8/10/8/6/4/2 …. etc until time is called after 10 minutes.

Mosey to NW corner of AO.

Segment 3

Find a partner.  Partner A does erkins on the lower wall while Partner B runs around the cone (precisely 40yds out, 40 yds back).  Swithcheroo.  Repeat the round, but with derkins.  Continue with erkins on the odd round and erkins on the even rounds till time is called, and keep a running count with your partner.

Highest total was 301; lowest was 246.  So we split the difference of 65 among the 15 PAX and all did 5ea single-count merkins to make up the difference.  Mosey back to startex.

Segment 4

Make your way around the track via crab walk, bear crawl, and lunge walk.  If you come to a stop, LBCs till you begin moving again.

YHC’s IQ drops precipitously during workouts, which is one reason YHC’s COTs are generally sub-sub-subpar.  YHC is grateful for the ability and the opportunity to participate in F3 and to lead this group of men.  Aye!
