Picked up the Q for that slacker Misery at the last minute. Decided to keep it simple with a focus on cardio and using the oft-neglected puller muscles. (Heh.)
4 got in some EC manmakers, though YHC peeled off early to harness my chi before the workout.
Standard warm-up then moseyed to bottom of first hill. Playlist that accompanied the proceedings featured these classic rock standards:
- Welcome to the Jungle
- Rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin)
- Thunderstruck
- Another One Bites the Dust
- All Along the Watchtower (Hendrix version)
- Sweet Child
- Sultans of Swing
- Baba O’Riley
- School’s Out
Partnered up. (YHC was odd man out so went solo for the Dora, knocking out half the reps and, ahem, enough of the mode of travel. Have found this to be a better approach when Qing, rather than having a group of 3. Allows the Q to keep an eye on things and make adjustments and calls for modification.)
Partners take turns running to median just before brick circle while completing:
100 burpees
200 jump squats
300 plank jack SC
Moseyed to blocks – stay with partners – mode of travel crab walk to curb, bear crawl back
100 single arm rows (shooting for about 25 per arm per PAX)
200 bent-over rows
300 curls
Returned blocks and moseyed back for Mary
Planked for a bit, then 20 flutter kicks IC and some Homer to Marge. Fin.
COT
Quarterly Report tomorrow at The Battering Ram, 0630. Ms and 2.0s welcome, epic coffeeteria to follow.
YHC asked for prayers for his grandmother, who appears to be nearing the end of life (though she’s rebounded a bit as of this morning.)
YHC took us out with a reminder to appreciate and spend quality time with those you love now while you have the chance.
MOLESKIN
Strong group who pushed hard throughout despite muggy conditions. Coffeeteria was awesome. T-claps to Sea Legs for making his third post after joining F3 at The Eagle on Monday. An honor and privilege to lead as always, aye!
