I was asked to do a Q with no theme or music but I explained during the mumble-chatter that I am just not capable of leading such a workout. Instead, I chose to do an end of the school year/baseball themed workout. I really had to modify because in the voting it was going to be one or the other but our blocks disappeared and this created the hybrid workout.

The thang: We moseyed over to the brick pile for some coupons. Last night during the extensive mumblechatter, an Artist named Leo came up thanks to Maraschino. The songs this particular artists sings are cover songs and he has put out over 35 albums. I found a kids one to especially annoy those who requested no music and I had a beginning of a fun workout to me. So we grabbed two bricks and we exercised to the tune of the wheels on the bus, heavy metal, LEO style. When the wipers on the bus came up, we did like a bent over fly thing that is tough as well after a few of those guys. Finally to end our brick fiasco and burn up the shoulders and celebrate the end of the year, we did some bricks if you are happy and you know it, head bangers ball edition.

Next, the PAX voted on a baseball theme, so as promised we decided to play nine innings of baseball. Here is how that worked. Each base had an exercise and between each base was mode of travel. The goal was to get around the bases as fast as you can to score as many runs as possible for your team. At first base, since this was the 2022 season the PAX did 22 merkins, then lunge walked to second. At second base, the PAX did 22 squats and then lunge walked to third. At third base, the PAX did 22 LBCs but had to bear crawl home. At home plate, the PAX had to do 22 Carolina Dry Docks and bear crawl again to first base. We did this for 9 minutes for a nine inning game. At the seventh inning stretch, we all took a minute to stretch our legs and lungs and sang take me out to the ball game.

The next part was time to watch some baseball, we took turns wall sitting with both legs, with one leg and then the other and then balls to the wall. We repeated this twice.

The final part of this particular workout was to actually play baseball, well sortof F3 style. We split the PAX in half and half were pitchers and half were batters. The idea was a good pitch and or a swing and a miss and the batter would do a burpee, or big hit or a hit batter and the pitcher would do a burpee.

Mary: We used our weighted bats as resistance for 15 WWIIs. 10 bent knee crunches each side.

COT: Time for fun and family and invite someone out to the Constellation park. Next week the main event will be followed with a 30 minute super kid friendly workout at 7:30. I would like for kids to lead this and a few of the parent/guardians come to supervise but the main event is still the main event at 5:30.
