Edward 40 Hands

May 24, 2018

WHEN: 05/23/2018
QIC: Foghorn Leghorn
PAX: Fish and Chips, Dean Wormer, Slug, Harbaugh, Malware, FHLH

There is an unfortunate drinking game known as Edward 40 Hands in which the participants have 40oz. beers duct taped to their hands, and cannot remove them until the bottles are empty (that’s the equivalent of about a six pack of Malt Liquor for those of you counting at home). Well it just so happens that YHC had a huge stack of left over bricks and each brick weighs….40 ounces. So, while they are just slightly more than a Shake Weight, YHC wondered how the PAX would feel after being married to their bricks for the full workout. (No duct tape this time)

Warmup

  • – SSHx30
  • – IW X 15
  • – Windmill X10
  • – Mountain Climber x10
  • – Merkins X10
  • – Glute Stretch

The Thang

Upon completion of warmups, each PAX was instructed to pick up two bricks and that they could not put them down until the completion of Mary – all exercises would be with bricks in hand.

The form was simple enough. PAX split int two groups.

  • Group A would run a lap of the Smith School lot ( ~0.15mi), while Group B completed prescribe exercise(s).
  • Then Flapjack, B does exercises while Group A runs.
  • Repeat the cycle

After each man had completed 2 full circuits, we switched exercises as follows

  • Set 1 – Burpees AMRAP
  • Set 2 – 10 Merkins, 10 LBCs, repeat
  • Set 3 – 10 Tricep Extensions, 10 BWS, repeat
  • Set 4 – 10 Overhead Claps, 10 Mountain Climbers, repeat
  • Set 5 – 10 Merkins, 10 Flutters, repeat
  • Set 6  – 10 Burpees, plank

We then mosey’d to the ramp back up to Seawell and proceed to Bear Crawl/Plod back up the hill, bricks in hand.

At the Parking Circle PAX completed 3 sets of 15 Dips.
