The Thang

Bucket brigade: transferring YHC’s homemade Bulgarian heavy bag from one PAX to the next along a line. Once the bag is handed off the PAX runs to the end of the line to receive the handoff from the last PAX in line.

The PAX halted at the conveniently placed pile of rocks on route to the track. Each PAX selected their favorite AO-provided granite coupon and cusacked their way to the track.

Once at the track we took a fellowship jog around the perimeter while YHC tested the PAXs’ knowledge of Skunk classification and biology (see trivia questions above).

Once back at the starting point we paired off and performed a BOMBS workout:

  • 50 Burpees
  • 100 Overhead press with stone
  • 150 Merkins
  • 200 Big boy sit ups (aka WWIIs)
  • 250 Squats (truncated to 150 squats due to time)

While one partner works on busting out the above-listed exercises, the other partner runs one lap around the track. Once the running partner returns to the starting point, they switch with their partner and continue where they left off. Partners also handed off the heavy bag to take around the track until every PAX had a chance to experience it. Since, Blistex had the closest answer to the last question above, he won the prize of not having to carry the heavy bag around the track. But, being the F3 man that he is, he declined the award and decided to enjoy the added burden along with the rest of the PAX.

After the PAX complete the BOMBS, we returned our AO-provided coupons and moseyed back to the parking lot for Mary.

Mary

Plank hopscotch: PAX circle up and get into plank position. One PAX stands up and, moving counter clockwise, jumps over the planked form of their fellow PAX until their return to their starting position. This continues with the next PAX member until each had a chance.
