Cardio with a hint of Bootcamp

PAX: Botched, Sidecar, Blackball, Champ, Far Side, Bushwood, B&B, Food Lion, Barrel, Big Kat, Poser, Newt, Relegation, Loveshack, Shake It

Solo EC for YHC.  Just a 5k down Weaver Dairy to MLK and back.  

 

YHC promised to blend in some cardio with our normal bootcamp, and luckily that did not scare off 15 PAX for posting this morning.  It was back to a comfortable 67 degrees and foggy.

 

Warm-Up: A customary lap around Cedar Falls and then we circled up for some SSH, LBAC, good mornings, and 10 true americans.

 

The Thang:

Perimeter Escalators – PAX run 0.5 lap with 10 burpees at the end.  PAX now run 1 lap and then do 10 burpees and 20 merkins.  PAX now run 1.5 laps and do 10 burpees, 20 merkins, and 30 jump squats.  Now 2 laps around the field with 10 burpees, 20 merkins, 30 jump squats, and 40 flutter kicks.  Each time PAX held a low-hold squat as the last man finished up, and then we did the exercises together.  YHC would like to think that the PAX really enjoyed all this running.

 

Agassi Webbicides – We moseyed over to the tennis courts.  PAX performed an Agassi (suicide on a tennis court).  At the end of the first court 2 merkins, second court = 4 merkins, …, sixth court = 12 merkins and back down.  PAX that finished early hold a people’s chair against the fence. With the wet conditions we had to be careful moving up and down the tennis courts, but we still got a good workout in.

 

Mary:

We started jogging back to the field for Mary.  Blackball decided to up the tempo, so of course YHC took that as a challenge, and we made it to the field at a pace that was just below a full on sprint.
