The stay at home orders have been eased up enough to allow the restart of F3. This will be the first F3 workout at Hurricanrana in 9 weeks. In fact, YHC was supposed to have the Q the week we had to shut things down. It was supposed to be a grand return after spending 18 weeks training for a marathon (that got cancelled). So this would be YHC’s first official post at Hurricanrana in 6 months.

During the pandemic, YHC has found that wodwell.com has been an excellent source for at home workouts. Today’s workout draws inspiration from the Brad Harper WOD. Of course a little tweaking has to be done to make it work for a group workout, and to accommodate the site and social distancing restrictions. YHC asked each PAX to bring a weight in the range of 30 lbs to use. (No sharing of weight occurred in the execution of this workout)

Warm-Up:

  • SSH x43 (Happy Birthday Jeeves)
  • Harvesters x10
  • Slow Merkins x 15
  • Lunges x10
  • LBAC x 10
  • Plank Jack x10

The goal was to do 5 rounds of:

  • 18 kettlebell swings
  • 13 burpees
  • 20 thrusters
  • Parking lot suicide

Everyone was able to successfully complete all 5 rounds in the allotted time frame.

There is definitely a big difference between being in running shape, and being in bootcamp shape. Hopefully, this workout got everyone back to getting in bootcamp shape. Please continue to pray for Jeeves as he continues to hunt for a job.
