It’s been a while since YHC has had the privilege to Q a TBH workout. With the inspiration to do something to reflect my namesake from Boyardee, I had the perfect soundtrack for a good workout. I wanted to get a lot of reps in and minimize explanations. Timed Tabata also seemed in order. Combine the two, and you get Bluegrass Tabata. Let’s go.

Warmup:
a) Lap around the parking lot and over to the grassy circle.
b) WMH x 15
c) Arm Circle x 10
d) Reverse x 10
e) Slow merkins x 10
f) Lap around the circle

The Thang:
a) Bluegrass Tabata-ish (done to fast, technical bluegrass music)
Each exercise done to 1-minute timer with 30 seconds off.
1) Burpees
2) Big boy situps
3) Merkins
4) Squat jumps
5) Dips
6) Erkins
7) Freddie Mercury
8) Sprint
9) Peter Parkers
10) Slow Bear Crawl IC x 2

Mosey to the parking lot

b) 11s (done to a count of 6)
Start: 5 burpees, 1 merkin
End: 1 burpee, 5 merkins

c) Catch me if you can
Partner up. Partner does 5 burpees and then run to catch other partner running backward. Continuous around the parking lot. Don’t stop until Q calls time. We did 3-4 sets. The Q lost count.

BOM:
YHC has had a challenging 6 months with work, travel, and moving into a new house. I didn’t even mention living with my mother in law for 6 months. A lot of sucked. F3 has been a good rock for me during that period. I (almost) always look forward to getting up early to suffer in gloom and hopefully get stronger. See you next time. Aye.
