Bears do run downhill

After leaving his house late this morning, YHC was stuck in traffic– hard to believe this happens at that time of the night. He arrived to the AO with 15 seconds to spare, and 4 PAX were anxiously waiting. The first words out of YHC’s mouth were: “The first exercise is”… and just like that, we were down to business:

SSH x50 IC
WMH x20IC
IW x20IC
GM x10IC
Arm Circles x12IC
Reverse x15IC
Clock merkin x3SC, at 12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12

The Thang
Bear Crawl, Squat, Lunge Walk, Merkin.
BC half way up the parking, 25 squats xSC. Lunge walk to the end of the parking lot. 25 merkins xSC. Rinse and repeat on the way back. At some point during the return, it was discussed among the PAX whether bears can run downhill. Spooky showed us how it’s done.

Dips – LBCs
Mosey to the back of school. In pairs. Partner #1 does dips while partner #2 performs LBCs. The goal is to reach 320 as a pair. Switch as needed, picking up the count.

Burpee pyramid
Mosey back to the parking lot for YHC’s favorite back pocket exercise: the burpee pyramid, which comes with all the usual groaning and heavy breathing. Fun times. 1 to 10 down to 1 for total of 100. Just beautiful.

Thankful for the opportunity to lead this group this morning. YHC chose a set of exercises that he really hates, including dips, LBCs, and burpees, because he knows he can count on the PAX to achieve such high goals. Go out and spread the love in your community until we meet again in the gloom. Aye!
