…And repeat

While watching the BoSox take on the damn Yanks last Tuesday, YHC made a last minute decision to Q the following morning and quickly scratched together the following workout…

 

Warm up

Seal claps x10 cadence

Overhead claps x10 cadence

Windmills x10 cadence

Side straddle hop x10 single count, then immediately transitioned to merkins (x10 single count)…and repeat…until the PAX performed 50 side straddle hops and 50 merkins

 

The Thang

The PAX then moseyed over to the rock pile and retrieved an AO-provisioned coupon. YHC instructed the PAX not to short change themselves (aka grab a big rock) in order to reap maximum benefit from the morning’s workout. Once the individual selection was made, the PAX carried the coupon at chest height until YHC called out to press the rock over their head and hold until instructed bring it back down to chest height. The PAX continued this as we made our way around the parking lot.

Once we made our way to the far end of the parking lot we set our coupons down in a straight line to form a starting. The PAX lined up at their chosen coupon and were instructed to perform 20 curls, then transition to Paula Adbul bearcrawl/crawlbear (two parking spaces forward and one space back) to the other end of the parking lot. At the other end the PAX performed 20 squat jacks and Paul Adbul bearcrawl/crawlbeared their way back to their coupons. At which time, YHC decided to call an audible and revise the travel portion of the exercise. Each PAX performed 20 curls and 20 squat jacks at either end of the parking lot, but travel from one end to the other the PAX performed the following various traveling exercises inspired by his baseball watching pastime:

“Knuckball” (aka Gorilla walk)

“Slider” (aka carioki)

“Fastball” (aka sprint)

“Curveball” (aka side-to-side bunny hop slalom-style)

In all, the PAX performed 100 curls and 100 squat jacks and traveled the length of the parking lot 10 times.

With some time remaining, the PAX performed 20 calf raises on the parking barriers. We then picked up our coupons and returned them to the rock pile before regrouping for Mary.

Boxer crunches x10 single count

Superman pulls x10 single count

…and repeat until we performed 50 of each.
