Along came a Coco

September 13, 2018

WHEN: 09/13/2018
QIC: RG3
PAX: Hux, Blackball, Green Acres, BandCamp, Dean Wormer, Ito, EZ Pass, Adolphus, Nescafe, Catskill, Rebar, Coco, NightShift, Nacho Libre, FNG Lake Effect, Spooky, RG3, Cheesesteak, Cheese Splint, Red October, Dark Knight, Au Jus, Malware, Buffay, SubPrime, Carmen Sandiego, Barksdale

I rolled up to a mostly empty parking lot, confirming what I thought would be a low turnout.  The combination of Florence and the typically smaller numbers at Paradise (at least as compared to Mon, Wed, Fri AOs) would make this a nice low-key Q headed into the weekend.

It turns out, however, that if you string the four letters together: “C-O-C-O”, PAX tend to swarm and converge as if it’s a chance to see an endangered species.  Yes, Coco was back in town to pack his family up and head west and this would officially be his final Churham post before the true relocation. 27 PAX (a new Paradise record?) were ready to go at 530 sharp.

BOM

Brother Chum mentioned this in slack but it bears repeating.  Please remember to keep the  civil servants / leaders in your thoughts and prayers through the weekend. While we all hunker down at home, there are many folks working their tail off to serve and help us and those in need during this time.  I’m referring mostly to police, firefighters, EMTs, political leaders, utility workers, military personnel and others who’s job is to ensure we’re all safe and are here to serve us during major events like Florence.  Stay safe!
