Today started with a bang. Many a PAX, including YHC, were awoken by the angry clouds. Churham’s resident–and self-appointed–Chief Safety Officer, Uzi, arrived at the AO early and provided reports–some were about weather, but most were not. Audible was called, and Bump Draft’s EC was postponed to after ME. YHC thought he was going to scrap his tour of Southern Village and opt for a covered workout, but the gods smiled down on us. By 0545, the thunder and lightning had passed, leaving a clear, but soggy, gloom for 15 PAX to explore.
Warm-a-rama
Danger Zone (For the full Kenny Loggins ditty, do SSHs; any time Kenny sings “danger zone,” do a burpee.)
10 IWs IC
10 WMHs IC
10 slow Merkins
10 Alarm Clocks OYO (for Bump Draft’s tardiness)
PAX count off and begin mosey to SV Lawn.
On the way, we stopped off at the basketball courts for 30 Bobby Hurleys. Then we stopped at the bus stop for 20 Bus Drivers ICs in a low squat hold. Finally, we stopped at Christ Church for 10 Hand-Release Burpees OYO.
The Thang
Mosey around the Southern Village loop. At each business, we stopped and performed 15 reps of the following exercises.
- Weaver Street Market: WW2s
- Al’s Burger Shack: Alternating Shoulder Taps
- Lumina Theater: People’s Chair (each PAX does a 5 count with some air presses, seal claps, and OH claps thrown in for good measure)
- La Vita Dolce: V-Ups
- Rasa Malaysia: Flutter Kicks
- Town Hall Grill: Plank Jacks
- Subway: Sumo Squat
- Southern Village Pharmacy: Imaginary Jump Ropes
- Chapel Hill Children’s Clinic: Homer-to-Marge
Repeato with time hack of 10 minutes to complete second round.
Mosey back to AO where PAX held plank or picked up the six.

Announcements/Prayer Requests:
(1) Dean Wormer announced Mother Rucking Weekend starting with WODs and miles tonight at 1900 at the Thicket. More details on #rucktraining channel.
(2) Foley asked for everyone to be safe and responsible with spring break travels.
YHC took us out.
After the ME, 6 PAX stuck around for a Bump Draft-led EC, involving mountain climbers, leg raises, line jumps, burpees, and plank holds. Dean Wormer taught us about extreme ownership. Some of us got it. Some of us did not. For those that did not, YHC owns their failure.
Lost Dean to the grind but picked up a Starskying Cauliflower to make 6 for Coffeeteria.
Moleskin
The weather is neither good nor bad. It is the weather and a part of the environment. Just like so many things, we cannot control it, but we also cannot be dictated by it. We need to understand what it is, adapt to it, and appreciate what it provides us–whatever that is.
Moleskin #2
On such a foreboding morning, YHC was grateful to see 15 PAX in the gloom. Forgot about it until just now, but it was YHC’s VQ at the Bastille–will definitely back. Aye.
