I hadn’t been to House of Pain in a while. Always a big group and a strong group so I like that I can step it up a bit. I don’t wander to Durm often so I was ready to make the most of it. A lot of HC’s for the EC 5K so it was an early start. At least 8 or 9 showed up at 5:00 for a little EC and then 23 PAX showed up for the main event.

Warmup: SSH, Squats, Arm Claps, Mtn Climbers, Slow Merkins

The Thang: 4 Corner Escalator around the church: Run to the 1st corner and do 10 burpees. Run to the 2nd corner and do 10 burpees and 15 merkins. Run to the 3rd corner for 10 burpees, 15 merkins and 20 jump squats. Run back to the start for 10 burpees, 15 merkins, 20 jump squats and 25 WWII’s.

Reverse it. Run to the 1st corner for 20 jump squats. Run to the 2nd corner for 20 jump squats and 15 merkins. Run to the 3rd corner for 20 jump squats, 15 merkins and 10 burpees. Run back to the start for 20 jump squats, 15 merkins, 10 burpees and 25 WWII’s.

Partner up. Each PAX runs the opposite way around the church. When they meet, do 10 burpees. Keep running in opposite directions and when you meet again, do 8 burpees. Repeat for 6, 4 and 2 burpees.

COT: Prayers for Peach’s recovery. His bike accident reminds us all to carry a phone or have some emergency device that can alert others in case of injury. Evidently, Garmin has a feature but we all need to be prepared for the worst.
