Pre-Wolf Challenge

January 6, 2019

WHEN: 01/04/2019
QIC: Nickelback
PAX: Muzungu, Nubbin, Virgo, Milton, Pusher, Cortes, Buffay, Toast McQueen, Nickelback (Q)

The Hillsborough Pax had about 24 hours before the first annual Wolf Convergence. The majority of planning was complete, but we had one important item to complete. Move 4 logs from the Duck and Weave AO to the Historic Occoneechee Speedway.

Warm-up

  • Seal Clappers
  • Plank Jacks
  • Squat Hold

The Thang

We had the perfect amount of Pax members for the task at hand. The 4 pairs manhandled the 4 large logs and the remaining pax member took on the small log solo. YHC loves it when a plan comes together. We transported logs and made a couple stops along the way to give our shoulders a rest.

Stop 1: River Park (20 merkins)

Stop 2: Riverwalk Garden Field (20 merkins)

Stop 3: Riverwalk Bridge (stop and look cool)

After arriving at the entrance of the speedway and discreetly hiding the logs, the Pax hoped into the EC cars that had been strategically parked and headed back to the Duck and Weave AO.

Mary

With time winding down the Pax held a perfect plank position as we completed name-o-rama. Boom, mission accomplished at 6:15am.

COT

  • Nubbin and family as he prepared to fly out of the country for 2 weeks for work
  • The Wolf!

Moleskin

YHC was worried that carrying the logs from point A to point B may not be enough but was encouraged to hear “I’m so weak!” yelled out during the morning. It proved to be just the right challenge the day before the Wolf. Just like it takes a village to raise a child it takes the entire Northern Province to prepare and plan accordingly for a Churham convergence. Spirits were high and it would later shine brightly the following day at The Wolf.
